Residential project afford us a chance to really work with the land to create landscape designs that extend the use of the home and connect the homeowners with their land. We work with existing topography and natural water routes on the property to create a landscape that provides all of the desired elements in a way that feels respectful of the land. We work closely with the architect and builder through the project to ensure that the house and landscape work cohesively together. Ideally the landscape and home are designed in tandem to identify possible inside-outside connections, locations for light and shade, desired travel routes through the home and land, and perhaps most importantly creating desired views.

We pride ourselves on being lifelong learners and making each project unique. A project should be a reflection of the people that live in the home and their lifestyle. We bring our knowledge and design aesthetic to layer upon this. Beyond the plant palette, we work predominantly with enduring natural materials of stone, metal, wood and also enjoy designing architectural concrete and custom water features.

For us, a landscape design is successful when nature thrives; birds, bees, bugs and of course people too. Beauty is finding the balance and flow.
